Concrete Countertops

Traditionally if you wanted to step up beyond formica your choices were granite or marble…maybe butcher block. Concrete countertops provide a great alternative to these materials, and come with a number of benefits. Two important ones are their durability, and the fact that they can be repaired if it does happen to get damaged.

Beyond the utility, the flexibility of the material allows for a stunning visual impact that can range from rustic to elegant. The look of your standard concrete kitchen countertops alone and the patina that it forms can be quite beautiful, but there is an endless number of looks that can be achieved using colored or white concrete mixes, adding colors, using acid stains, as well as aggregates (like stones or glass) that can be exposed in the finishing process.

Combine these techniques with options like a smooth rounded edge, or natural appearing rock faced edge, or thin or thick countertops, your concrete countertops can look just like granite, marble, quartz, or something that is of your own creation.
