Concrete Patios
Need help?
If you need an estimate or just have a question, we’re here to help.
A concrete patio installation is a huge upgrade to your home that can last a lifetime so long as your patio contractor takes the appropriate measures in site preparation to ensure this. Best of all, our concrete patios are less then half the cost of a stone or paver patio installation and with significantly less time from start to finish. Spend less time and money watching your patio be installed, and more time enjoying it!
Concrete Patios Done Right
All concrete work starts well before the pour or even the forms, which is especially the case in northeastern Pennsylvania where soil compositions in most areas have a high amount of expansive clay.
To counter this, site preparation is paramount, and this starts with at least some level of excavation to remove the soft top layer of soil and sod, and to level the area where your patio will be installed. We then begin compacting the soil, and adding crushed stone to create a rock solid base to support your patio.
Visually Distinct Concrete Patios
When most people think of concrete, they think of a gray slab but as noted above, this couldn’t be further from the truth. Sure, we can pour a simple slab, but stamped concrete patios combined with stained concrete, will take your patio installation to a whole other level.
Stamped, or patterned, concrete is available in a number of patterns ranging from wood grain, to cobblestone, several popular paver patterns, and natural stone. These patterns can be used across the entire patio, or alternatively, the perimeter can be done, for instance, in cobblestone, and the interior in a paver pattern. Once the patterns are set we can stain the entire patio a single color, or use several different color stains, to create a realistic bluestone patio look (as bluestone has stones that range from grey, to brown, to blue). There is a near endless number of options that allow us to create something truly unique for your new patio.
